Under the usual circumstances Back to School is already an incredibly busy time for educators, but this year isn’t like the others. You may be preparing your classroom in person or virtually. Your teaching circumstances may be changing by the day. You’re learning new technology right along with your students and helping to reassure kids and their families that you will all get through this together. On top of all the work you’re doing, you may also be asked to run a staff meeting, lead professional development or help support other educators at your school.

Well, we’ve made at least one thing easy for you: if you want to share Epic School with your colleagues, here are a few tips and resources to make presenting and teaching other educators how to use Epic simple and fun!

1. Download the Presentation

Did your principal just ask you to lead PD tomorrow? No problem, we’ve got you covered! Impress your colleagues and help them get started on Epic with our ready-made Epic School Presentation. By downloading or adding a copy to your Google Drive, you can tweak it for the grade or subject level you teach or add a personal touch by including your favorite ways to use Epic with your students.

2. Email the Flyer

Want to send your presentation attendees off with a helpful quick reference?  Or just want a resource to share with your peers? We’ve got an Epic School Flyer that you can print in color or black and white and stick in mailboxes or just attach to an email. In a few clicks they’ll be able to explore and set up Epic for their own class.

3. Share Educator Tutorials

Perhaps you’ve been designated as the tech specialist for your grade level, or maybe the first-year teacher on your team could use a little extra help. You can easily share bite-sized video tutorials on topics ranging from how to add students to your roster and create collections of books and videos, to assigning books to students.

4. Add a Virtual Background

Looking to spice up an endless day of Zoom meetings? We have created some fun Epic Originals virtual backgrounds featuring some of our most popular characters to make a remote meeting or PD just a little bit more engaging! If you’ll be teaching remotely at the start of the school year, we’re sure they’ll also be a hit with your students.

5. Celebrate Students

There’s a lot of uncertainty around how this school year will look and feel, but we know at the end of the day what matters most to  you and other educators at your school is that kids know you’ll be there to support them and cheer them on. From the always-a-hit Readerpillar and reading certificates to cute posters with messages to encourage and celebrate your amazing students, we have lots of resources for you to share with your colleagues to infuse everyone’s classroom—virtual or in person—with lots of reading and lots of joy.

Let us know how your next staff meeting or PD goes and how we can support the incredible work you do by following @epic4educators on IG or Facebook and tagging us when you share the Epic love!
