CHAPTER 28 LUKE WOKE to find himself being dragged into a grand chamber by two overseer droids He could see through the large windows that they were up high almost at the top of the Tech Masters citadel but Luke had no idea how he had gotten there The last thing he remembered was thundering the crawler toward the wall followed by a flash of intense light and heat A human walked ahead of the droids luxurious robes sweeping across a marble floor They stopped in front of a raised platform where three figures sat on large hovering thrones A Dyplotid sat in the center with a Keredian complete with cyberoptic implant to the right and a bulky Elnacon to the left What have we here Everson the Dyplotid asked The prisoner attempted to steal a century tank Lord Craykan the human replied in a surprisingly shrill voice Why bring him to us the Elnacon asked glaring at Luke through her protective face globe
He was carrying this Lady Yarla Everson held Luke’s lightsaber for the Tech Masters to see All four of Craykan’s eyes widened A Jedi Don’t be ridiculous the Keredian snapped The Jedi are extinct Yes Lord Ruk Everson said But think of what you could learn from such a weapon Craykan fixed his gaze on Luke What do you want of us We want our ships he replied They are ours now Yarla told him Everything on this planet belongs to us
