The Madrigals are a special family living in a wondrous place called the Encanto. Each family member has a special gift of magic—for example, Pepa controls the weather with her emotions, Camilo is able to shape-shift at the snap of his fingers, and Tio Bruno can peek into the future. One day, Tio Bruno has a vision of the Encanto looking sad and gloomy. In his vision, he also sees a flower he calls “a beautiful flor de Mayo orchid.” When the family goes into the village, they discover there are no fruits or vegetables to be found and all the flowers have withered and died. Antonio, the youngest member of the family, decides to go into the rainforest to try to solve the mystery. But he won’t go alone, using his magical gift of communicating with animals, Antonio journeys deep into the forest with his animal friends in hopes of saving the plants of the Encanto.
