Fearless Freddie — page 9 — and I watched it cozy in our sleeping bags on the floor Somewhere in the middle of the movie Mom had moved to the couch and fallen asleep The second the movie ended Alfreeda started to snore like a pug I'd gotten up to turn off the TV but sat right back down A shark movie had come on and I was interested It was about a killer great white shark The huge shark had terrified everyone in a beach town Before I even realized it I'd watched the whole thing After that it took me forever to fall asleep I just kept chewing on my fingernails like a dog with a tasty bone Or like a shark chewing on someone's tasty leg I must've finally nodded off though because there I was waking up the next morning Super bright flashes of lightning turned the living room all white as white as a great white shark's underside
