WYOMING GEOGRAPHY Wyoming Wyoming is in the Western region of the United States It is the 10h largest state It covers 97 813 square miles 253 335 sq km of land The state is shaped like a square To the north is the state of Montana Sharing borders to the west are Montana Idaho and Utah To the south are Utah and Colorado Bordering Wyoming to the east are the states of Nebraska and South Dakota Wyoming is a state where the Great Plains gently rise until they meet the Rocky Mountains Grasslands make up much of the eastern third of the state Some of the soil is good for growing wheat The western side of Wyoming is mountainous Major rivers in the state include the Snake Bighorn Powder Green North Platte and Yellowstone Rivers WYOMING
