Digital Reveal — page 3 — tech it was a pretty easy gig for her and she found plenty to write about Around school Bridget had a reputation for being on top of all the new tech gadgets Some people even called her by the nickname Bridget Gadget Bridget’s blog posts covered a variety of topics She had reviewed tech gadgets fresh on the market shared new cheats for games pointed out flaws in products and made suggestions for better designs and written about how tech impacted the daily lives of Blue Lake Junior High kids She had other club members contribute too Bridget thought she had made sure a lot of interesting things were posted on the blog so Trevor’s text surprised her It also worried Bridget Ms Yang their tech ed teacher and club adviser had entered Tech Club’s blog into a statewide contest for the Junior High School Blog Award Judges for the contest would review blogs created by junior high school clubs and organizations all across the state The Tech Club blog had already made it past the first round And soon the winners would be selected The winning club would receive 1,000 for club activities including outreach and education 6

Digital Reveal — page 4 — So everything needed to be perfect with the blog Everyone in Tech Club really wanted to win the contest With the prize money the club could purchase more equipment and even bring in computer engineers to teach about new technologies So now everyone in Tech Club especially Trevor was questioning Bridget’s work on the blog and doubting her technology expertise Before she could write Trevor back he’d sent her another text Need 2 intro hot new gadget 4 nxt post Maybe by Monday Include pics or vid k The pressure was just too much She understood they had to draw in more readers but how could she find a hot new gadget before Monday She had been worrying about it all weekend Plus Trevor’s text annoyed her Was he questioning how much she knew about the latest tech It certainly sounded that way Everyone at school knew Bridget had the inside scoop on the tech world because her dad was Nick Grant president of Lingo a local tech company Bridget often got tech product 7
