Mooncakes

The mooncakes is about a little girl who is excitedly prepping up for a celebration. A celebration where she is allowed to stay up past her bedtime. Where they prepare circular mooncakes and illuminate lanterns outdoors. Then they sit outside in the quiet night, admiring the moon and the dusty clouds that cover it. As the story progresses, we are introduced to a very new setting. A scene in which a young girl learns about a woman who lives on the moon. How & why she arrived on the moon. The other moon-dwelling creatures that live there. This story encourages us to be kind, selfless, and loving. Mooncakes is a homage to a child's imagination and how you may safeguard and fuel it with the right stories. Read mooncakes to help your child understand the chinese moon festival & its ancient history. The mooncakes introduces children to a world beyond the realm of what they already know and help them develop empathy for others.
