It\u2019s not one big strategy. It\u2019s a series of small ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Making time for reading, even on busy days. Letting students choose what they want to read. Using tools like Epic in ways that fit naturally into the classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If there\u2019s one thing these classrooms show, it\u2019s that reading doesn\u2019t need to be complicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few minutes during transitions. A chance for early finishers to explore something they\u2019re interested in. Time set aside for independent reading that students actually look forward to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Letting students choose what they read makes a difference too. When they\u2019re interested, they stick with it longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tracking progress can help as well. Even something simple can give students a sense of momentum.<\/p>\n\n\n
