I\u2019m often asked why I care so deeply about reading, and the honest answer is that books shaped my life from the beginning. As a kid, I had favorite stories that I returned to again and again. That\u2019s what we have to keep doing for kids today. We have to make reading feel possible. We have to make it feel exciting. And we have to meet kids where they are\u2014in the classroom, at home, at school and everywhere in between.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
