Every year on World Teachers\u2019 Day<\/strong>, we pause to celebrate the incredible impact teachers make. They\u2019re the everyday heroes who spark curiosity, nurture confidence and help kids discover the joy of reading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, as part of our World Teachers\u2019 Day 2025<\/strong> celebration, we\u2019re thrilled to welcome a new group of educators into the Epic Educator Ambassador Program<\/strong>\u2014a global community of teachers inspiring readers and transforming classrooms every single day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What It Means to Be an Epic Educator Ambassador<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Epic Educator Ambassador Program<\/strong> isn\u2019t just a title\u2014it\u2019s a vibrant space where educators collaborate, share ideas and shape the future of Epic for students around the world.

It\u2019s a community of passionate literacy ambassadors dedicated to empowering kids through reading and learning, while bolstering best practices across the teaching profession. Learn more about the program here<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Celebration of Educators Who Make Magic Happen<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 2025\u201326 Epic Educator Ambassadors come from every corner of the world. Some teach in small rural schools, others in bustling city classrooms. But they all have this in common: they know books can change lives, and they help make that change happen every single day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, over 600 educators from 36 U.S. states and 14 countries joined the program. They\u2019re classroom teachers, literacy leads, media specialists and tech coaches\u2014and they all believe in the life-changing power of books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, how do teachers inspire kids to love reading<\/strong> every day? Meet a few of this year\u2019s inspiring Ambassadors: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moulay Larbi Arbaoui<\/strong><\/h3>\n

English Teacher | Fez, Morocco<\/i><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With 19 years of experience and a passion for inspiring young writers, Moulay uses Epic not just in his classroom, but as a cornerstone of a district-wide digital reading strategy. \u201cEpic is more than just a library\u2014it\u2019s a gateway to literacy, creativity and lifelong learning,\u201d he says. He\u2019s helping students find their voices and their stories.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Every morning in Juliana\u2019s class starts the same way: with a book. \u201cIt sets the tone for the day,\u201d she says. Her students track their reading each month and friendly competition fuels their excitement. \u201cThey get so excited to outdo their own progress\u2014and each other!\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Anjuna builds entire curriculum units around Epic. She curates collections tied to classroom inquiries and lets students explore. \u201cIt gives my students access to thousands of high-interest books that are just right for their reading levels,\u201d she says. Epic helps Riley meet students at their level\u2014literally. \u201cI can assign books that match where they\u2019re at while still covering the content we\u2019re learning about.\u201d For early finishers, Epic is a reward. For curriculum tie-ins? A game-changer. \u201cWe\u2019re still hitting the standards, just in a way that\u2019s fun and flexible.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Educators like Jinal Vira, from Oberoi International School in Mumbai, are returning for another year. \u201cWhat I loved most was the sense of community and collaboration,\u201d she said. \u201cIt gave us a platform to exchange ideas, learn from one another and feel connected.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Behind Every Young Reader is a Teacher Who Believed in Them<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Reading doesn\u2019t always come easily. But when a teacher finds the just-right book\u2026 when they say, \u201cYou can do this\u201d\u2026 when they celebrate a child\u2019s progress one page at a time\u2014that\u2019s when everything changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEpic is quite honestly the only way I could get my own kids and my students in special education to love or even begin reading,\u201d said Stephanie Ruyle, a new ambassador from Rochester Elementary School, EC-1 in Rochester, Illinois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For so many kids, reading isn\u2019t just about books. It\u2019s about trust and encouragement. World Teachers\u2019 Day matters for students and schools because it\u2019s a chance to honor the people who show up, believe in them and help open the door to lifelong learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
